During this experience you will have the opportunity to taste four wines of our production that tell the authentic taste of our territory: from Chianti Classico, passing through Chianti Classico Riserva, up to a bold Super Tuscan, without forgetting the freshness of a rosé and the energy of bubbles. Each sip will take you on a sensory journey, offering you a complete overview of our cellar.
The tasting includes food and wine pairings designed to enhance each of the wines: fresh bruschetta seasoned with our new oil are paired with typical cured meats and a selection of local pecorino cheeses - fresh and aged - to delight your palate. These dishes, prepared exclusively with local ingredients, will allow you to immerse yourself in the authentic flavors of our land.
The experience begins with a story of the history of the Panzanello estate and the discovery of the Chianti Classico territory. Andrea Sommaruga, or one of his staff, will guide you to discover the cellar, telling you curiosities and anecdotes that make our reality unique. The tasting will take place in the welcoming internal room, or on the panoramic terrace, offering you a convivial afternoon full of emotions.

The Gran Tagliere with Tasting and Cellar Visit includes an in-depth tour of the cellar with a detailed explanation of the winemaking processes, followed by a tasting of 4 selected wines from our production. During the experience, you will be able to savor the Chianti Classico 100% Sangiovese , the 1427 Chianti Classico with notes of fresh cherry, the Chianti Classico Riserva aged 18 months in barrique, and one of our Tuscan IGT wines such as Manuzio or Error 404 Rosato. The wines are accompanied by a rich cutting board with Tuscan cured meats, fresh and aged pecorino cheeses, and bruschetta seasoned with our Inis Extra Virgin Olive Oil, all produced using organic methods since 1998.
The Gran Tagliere with Tasting experience lasts approximately 2-2.5 hours, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the reality of Panzanello. The tour takes place from 11:00 to 16:00, from Monday to Saturday, and includes a visit to the historic cellar founded in 1427 and acquired by the Sommaruga family in 1964. If you want a shorter experience, you can opt for the Wine and Oil Tasting lasting approximately 1 hour, while for Tuscan cuisine enthusiasts we recommend the Complete Lunch at Panzanello lasting 3-4 hours or the Cooking Class that starts at 10:30 and includes the preparation of a complete Tuscan menu.
Of course! At the end of the Gran Tagliere with Tasting and Cellar Visit you will be able to purchase all the wines you have tasted directly in the cellar. In addition to the wines tasted, you will have access to the entire Panzanello collection , including organic wines and limited editions such as the Giubileo 2025 (about 3000 bottles), a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. By participating in our Raccolta Tappi program , you will earn a "tappo" for every euro spent, which you can convert into a free two-night stay at our farmhouse with swimming pool when you reach 1,500 corks.
The Gran Tagliere with Tasting and Cellar Visit at €55 represents a perfect balance between a simple tasting and a complete lunch. Unlike the Tour and Wine Tasting at €36, it includes a rich cutting board of Tuscan products in addition to bruschetta. Compared to the Complete Lunch at €85, it does not include a first and second course but still offers a wide selection of local cured meats and cheeses. All our experiences include the tasting of our Chianti Classico and Tuscan red wines, but vary in quantity of wines (from 3 to 5) and food accompaniments. Guests staying at Tenuta Panzanello receive a special discount on all tastings.
The Grand Cutting Board with Tasting and Cellar Visit can be adapted for guests with specific dietary needs. When booking, please let us know of any intolerances or dietary restrictions. For vegetarians, we can replace the cured meats with extra cheeses or seasonal vegetables. For those who are lactose intolerant, we offer alternatives to pecorino cheeses. We use ingredients from our estate, where we have been practicing organic farming since 1998, guaranteeing genuine and natural products. If you prefer a more personalized experience, our Cooking Class can be completely adapted to your dietary needs, allowing you to learn how to prepare Tuscan dishes respecting your needs.
